Low bungalows under coconut palms, a pool ringed with flowering vines, and the Senegambia strip a short walk away. The hospitality arm of J Balaji Group.
Bamboo Garden Hotel sits on the Bertil Harding Highway at Senegambia — red-tiled bungalow blocks set among mature coconut palms, with paved paths, clipped hedges and lawns between them. You step from your door onto grass, not into a corridor.
It is run by J Balaji Industries Limited, the hospitality arm of J Balaji Group — the same family business that has traded in Banjul since 2007.
Four layouts, all air-conditioned and en-suite. Rates depend on season and length of stay, so send your dates and you will get them in writing.

Double
A carved four-poster bed under a canopy frame, flat-screen television and a quiet corner of the garden outside the window.
Suite · Living Room
A separate sitting room with sofa, coffee table and television, alongside the bedroom — room to spread out on a longer stay.
Extended Stay
The same suite layout with a fitted kitchenette corner, for guests staying weeks rather than nights.
An open-air pool with a paved sun terrace, hedged on one side and overlooked by the upper walkway on the other. Yellow flowering vines run along the wall behind it.
It is a quiet pool — this is a garden hotel, not a resort with a poolside soundsystem. Loungers, shade and the sound of the palms.
Paths, lawns, palms and the bungalow rows — the whole property, corner by corner.

You will know it by the lit archway on the Bertil Harding Highway — Welcome to Bamboo Garden Hotel in green above the drive. Reception is straight ahead through the palms.
Parking is inside the gates. Give us your flight number when you book and a driver will meet you at Banjul International.
Eat on the terrace before the heat, with the palms still holding the night's cool.
The terrace and loungers here, or Kololi and Kotu beaches a few minutes down the road.
The strip is a short walk — craft markets, restaurants and the sea air.
The paths light up, the arch glows green, and the grounds go quiet.
Fill this in and it opens WhatsApp with your enquiry ready to send. Rates come back in writing — they depend on season and length of stay, which is why they are not printed here.
Bamboo Garden Hotel is operated by J Balaji Industries Limited — the hospitality arm of J Balaji Group, alongside J Balaji Enterprise in Kanifing Jimpex and J Balaji Roofing Industries in the Kanifing Industrial Area.
The furniture in the rooms, the doors on the bungalows and the roofs above them all came from the group's own yards.
Send your dates and we will come back with availability and a written rate. Airport transfer arranged on the same message.
